Chadds Ford is an area that borders the Chester County and Delaware County lines in Pennsylvania. Chadds Ford is located about 25 miles from Philadelphia.
This beautiful area was home to N.C. Wyeth, his son Andrew Wyeth, and grandson Jamie Wyeth.
Chadds Ford is also famously known for the Brandywine Battlefield (site of the Battle of Brandywine), along with the Brandywine River Museum, which still currently houses much of the Wyeth collection. Also present at the Brandywine River Museum is a painting titled “A Mans Table Reversed” a 1977 oil painting on canvas, by William M. Harnett, one of Anne and Meghan’s great uncles.
Also located very close to Chadds Ford is Longwood Gardens, an American botanical garden. Longwood Gardens consists of over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows.
